Denmark forward Morten Nordstrand struck twice in a comfortable 4-0 victory over Liechtenstein in their Group F Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday.
Nordstrand, earning only his third cap, scored his first international goal in the third minute, knocking the ball in off the right-hand post after a corner.
Defender Martin Laursen added the second and Jon Dahl Tomasson made it 3-0 before Nordstrand wrapped up the scoring after a swift one-two with Tomasson in the 36th minute.
Nordstrand nearly made it a hat-trick in the 80th minute when he dribbled past the visiting keeper only to hit the side netting from a tight angle.
The only threat from Liechtenstein came from Mario Frick, who beat four Denmark defenders in the 50th minute but was foiled by keeper Thomas Sorensen in a one-on-one.
'We had two different halves. In the first half we had a good grip on the game and a lot of speed, while in the second we lost tempo,' said Denmark coach Morten Olsen.
Denmark are fourth in their group on 14 points, five behind leaders Sweden.
