Kazakhstan 2 - 2 Belgium, Goals + Highlights

Defender Samat Smakov converted a 77th minute penalty as Kazakhstan came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Belgium in their Euro 2008 qualifier in Group A on Wednesday.

Belgium opened the scoring in the 13th minute, with midfielder Karel Geraerts steering the ball past Kazakh keeper David Loria off a cross from striker Kevin Mirallas.

Mirallas then made it 2-0 to Belgium in the 24th minute, following up the rebound after his first effort hit the post.

Kazakh midfielder Dmitry Byakov kept his side in the game by pulling one back just six minutes before half-time.

They snatched a point in the closing stages with Smakov's spot-kick after a foul by Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Belgium are fifth in the group on 11 points, while Kazakhstan are seventh on seven points. Leaders Poland, on 20 points, and Finland, with 18, were meeting later on Wednesday.
